Newark, NJ – Three People Killed in Collision on US-22

Newark, NJ (June 11, 2020) – Three people were killed following a collision in Newark on late Tuesday evening, June 9th. At around 11 p.m., the driver of a Cadillac CTS reportedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed. Authorities were called to the scene of the crash on US-22 EB.

Two people were ejected and killed in the crash. These victims were identified as Taylor Hill, 19, and Kamal Johnson, 18. Nashawn Brooks, 20, was also ejected and transported to St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingstone where he was later pronounced dead.

Two others were badly injured. An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently underway.

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the families of Taylor Hill, Kamal Johnson, and Nashawn Brooks at this time.
