Alpine, NJ – Man Fatally Struck on Palisades Interstate Pkwy
Alpine, NJ (July 5, 2020) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident in Alpine, just past the New York borderline. Authorities were called to the site of the crash on Thursday, July 2, at around 10 p.m. The accident occurred on the Palisades Interstate Parkway.
According to local reports, a man was driving a 2014 Toyota Sienna northbound on the roadway when the vehicle struck an animal. The man pulled then to the side of the road and exited the car. While outside his vehicle, he was struck by a 2018 Cadillac CT6.
The injured pedestrian was transported to Nyack Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway.
