Paterson, NJ – Pursuit Ends in Crash at 16th St & 10th Ave
Paterson, NJ (May 31, 2020) – Three people were arrested after a vehicle pursuit ended in a collision in Paterson on Saturday night, May 30th. The collision took place at the intersection of 16th Street and 10th Avenue. Authorities located a black Mercedes-Benz sedan that matched the description of a stolen vehicle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop.
The vehicle refused the stop and went into reverse, striking a vehicle at the intersection. The three people inside the vehicle fled on the foot but were ultimately captured by authorities. The individuals were later identified as Jancarlos Rodriguez, 19, of Paterson, Deremy Colon, 22, of Garfield, and an unidentified, 15-year-old Paterson boy.
The severity of the resulting injuries isn’t known at this time. An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway.
