Hackensack, NJ – James Dixon Killed in Hit-&-Run at River & Court St
Hackensack, NJ (May 11, 2020) – A Hackensack man was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Friday evening, May 8th. The crash occurred at the intersection of River Street and Court Street at around 8 p.m., near the Bergen County parking garage. James Dixon, 25, was killed in the accident.
Dixon was struck and transported to Hackensack University Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. Authorities later found Fabio Campos Azofeifa, 47, changing a tire near the scene of the crash. Azofeifa was charged with vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a crash resulting in death.
No further updates have been provided at this time. An ongoing investigation into the crash is in progress.
