Pennsville, NJ – Dustin Schmidt Fatally Struck on S Jersey Rd
Pennsville, NJ (April 24, 2020) – A driver swerved his vehicle in order to avoid some buzzards on the road and ended up fatally striking a Pennsville man on Tuesday morning, April 21st. The crash happened on a south New Jersey roadway at around 10 a.m., according to township police. The victim was identified as Dustin Schmidt, 33, of Pennsville.
The driver who struck Schmidt was only identified as a 73-year-old Pennsville man. At the time of the accident, Schmidt was securing a backhoe onto a flatbed trailer. Schmidt suffered from head injuries and was pronounced dead by responding paramedics.
No charges have been filed at this time. The crash is currently under investigation.
